2024 Dental Mission trip to Puerto Rico

This mission trip partners with the people of Centro Cristiano Bet-el church in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico to provide free dental services for patients who are in need and have limited access to dental care. 

2024 represents the third mission trip partnership between the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry (UKCD) dental students and volunteer dentists, hygienists, medical providers, clergy and lay volunteers from the mainland U.S. and Puerto Rico. The team will tirelessly work together to provide the people of Rio Grande, Puerto Rico the care they desperately need.

Mission Trip to Nicaragua (02.21.2020 - 02.28.2020)

1-week construction mission trip in Managua, Nicaragua to empower the local communities and work on Hope Center building projects. Mission team participants serve alongside Nicaraguans to help build their Hope Center and encourage the local children and families. Knowledge of construction is not necessary.  Team members from age 15 to 90 years old are welcome. Activities include light-duty construction, cleaning, painting, plumbing, electrical, mixing concrete and general repairs. If contruction is “not your thing”, then hundreds of children show up to play, read books and have fun. Participants can serve without ever picking up a hammer! Belarussian Outreach Spectacular Summer (BOSS2019)

Belarussian Outreach is an opportunity to bring the mission field to your home. Host a Belarussian child in your home for the 6-week summer program in Raleigh NC, Baltimore MD or Boston (South Hamilton), MA. Fifty (50) Belarussian children (ages 6-16) will be staying with American host families this summer. Host family candidates include newly married couples, families with young children, families with grown (or no) children and grandparents. Summer activities (approx 4 events per week) include VBS (Vacation Bible School), BO Olympiad, Angus Barn Birthday Bash, doctor and dentist appointments, community service and much more.

Empowered Dreamer Camp in Nicaragua

Empowered Dreamers camp is for teenagers, ages 15 to 20 years old. This camp is a 3-day youth development/empowerment camp at La Finca, a Young Life working coffee plantation in the mountains of Nicaraga. 265+ teenagers from 14 local communities in the Managua, Nicaragua area are selected by their local pastor to participate in the 3-day camp. All camp activities are organized by Overflowing Hands’ Project Managers and leaders in Nicaragua. Mission team participants support camp leaders with Christian conferences, worship, talent show, games, athletic competitions, serving meals and snacks, etc. Any one interested in serving on this mission is welcome!
